I graduated in 2008 with a BA Hons degree in Holistic Sports Therapy with Strength and Conditioning, and I have also recently completed my Level 4 Sports Massage qualification. I believe being versatile is an important part of any therapists treatment plan; I have been lucky enough to work with members of my local running club, pitch-side with Sheffield FC girls, members of my local community into all different sports such as golf and football and over the last 12 years predominantly with swimmers.

2019 has been the highlight in my career so far as I was able to work as part of the Medical Team for the Vitality Netball World Cup held in Liverpool in July and then at the World Para-Swimming Championships held at the Olympic pool in London in September.

When I’m not treating clients, I enjoy swimming, the Netball Super league and the International Swimming League, plus I’m big on NFL supporting Miami!

I have had a keen interest in sport ever since I was five, where I spent most time playing football. After spending weeks with the club physio due to a long-term injury, I developed a fascination for the human body and its biomechanics. This led me to study Sport and exercise science at college and then on to a degree in Sports Therapy at the University of Kent.

I have gained a lot of experience working in different sports clubs and clinics. I have worked with rugby clubs, running clubs and football clubs. I am now the head sports therapist at Cromford and Wirksworth Town FC, where sports massages are highly requested. As well as my passion for sports massage, I also enjoy creating effective rehabilitation programmes for my clients to help them return to their pain-free active lifestyle.

Aside from treating clients, I enjoy running, bouldering, playing football and travelling to explore new places.

Now I like to focus on sports massage and one of my biggest client bases is runners. From being one myself, I know exactly what you're going through!

It was during a trip to Thailand, and experiencing massage there, that I decided to make it a central part of my life. I qualified from Sheffield Centre for Massage Training in 2015 with a L4 Diploma in Holistic Massage. I have completed various CPD courses since, including Deep Tissue, which I can blend into my treatments.

My background is in supporting others. This has included working in mental health and supporting survivors of domestic abuse, I bring a high level of empathy and care to my treatments.

I encourage client's to explore and connect with the root causes of bodily tension, and gain a sense of empowerment with this process.

I see massage as powerful part of a mosaic of self care and healing. Supporting ourselves in multiple ways allows us to heal, flourish and become more resilient to the challenges of life.

Currently into: Yoga, meditation and walks in nature
